Supported Devices

Learn which devices work with VirtualTablet and understand the requirements for full functionality.

Device Requirements

VirtualTablet requires devices equipped with pressure sensitive stylus pen with hover mode to function properly. These advanced features are typically found in devices using Wacom Digitizer Stylus technology, which powers Samsung Galaxy Note series and most Windows tablets.

⚠️
Important: Capacitive touch pens (usually with large round rubber tips) don’t support pressure sensitivity or hover mode. While you can draw with these pens or your finger in the Android app, pressure sensitivity will not work.

How to Check Compatibility

Not sure if your device is compatible? Here’s how to check:

1. Check for Active Stylus

  • Look for mentions of ‘S Pen’, ‘Active Pen’, or ‘Digitizer’ in your device specifications
  • Search for ‘Wacom’ technology in the device documentation

2. Test Hover Mode

  • Hold the stylus above the screen without touching it
  • If a cursor appears on screen, your device has hover mode support

3. Pressure Test

  • Use a drawing app to test if line thickness changes with pen pressure
  • Try varying pressure from light to heavy strokes
