Krita Pressure Sensitivity Setup

Configure VirtualTablet to work seamlessly with Krita for professional digital painting and illustration.

Overview

VirtualTablet fully supports pressure sensitivity in Krita, enabling natural brush strokes and professional-quality digital art creation.

Krita is a free, open-source digital painting program that perfectly complements VirtualTablet’s pressure sensitivity features.

Setup

To enable pressure sensitivity in Krita, follow these steps:

  1. Access Settings Menu
    • Go to Settings → Configure Krita

Krita Settings Menu

  1. Navigate to Tablet Settings

    • Select Tablet settings from the left menu
    • Check the settings in the Tablet Input API section

  2. Select Tablet API

    • Windows: Select “Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink)”

Krita Tablet Configuration

  1. Adjust Pressure Curve (Optional)

    • Adjust the pressure curve in Input Pressure Global Curve
    • Set Low Pressure and High Pressure according to your drawing style
    • Test pressure sensitivity using the “Open Tablet Tester” button

  2. Apply Settings

    • Click the OK button to save settings
    • Restart Krita if required
