Pressure Sensitivity Setup for Clip Studio Paint

Configure VirtualTablet to work seamlessly with Clip Studio Paint for professional manga and illustration creation.

VirtualTablet fully supports pressure sensitivity in Clip Studio Paint (formerly known as Manga Studio), enabling natural brush strokes and professional-quality digital art creation.

Setup

Follow these steps to enable pressure sensitivity in Clip Studio Paint:

  1. Access Preferences

    • Go to File → Preferences (Windows)
    • Or Clip Studio Paint → Preferences (Mac)

  2. Navigate to Tablet Settings

    • Select the Tablet tab in preferences
    • Choose your tablet service settings

  3. Select Tablet Service

    • Windows: Choose “Tablet PC”
    • Mac: Settings should work automatically

Clip Studio Tablet Preference

  1. Select ‘Pencil’ tool from toolbar open up option panel. Check on ‘Pen Pressure’ item.

Clip Studio Brush Settings

  1. Adjust Pressure Curve (Optional)
    • Click the small settings icon next to pen pressure
    • Adjust the pressure curve to match your drawing style
    • Test different curves to find your preference
